Definition of Active Member

Families are considered active members for four years from the date of diagnosis. In the event of a relapse, the four-year active membership period begins again from the date of relapse. This process continues until the patient reaches 19 years of age.

Definition of Alumni Member

Alumni status begins at the end of the four-year active membership period. At that time, a nominal fee may apply for some events for patients, parents, and siblings who live in the same household and are under 19 years of age.

Definition of Overage Member

Overage status begins when a member turns 19. Overage members may register as guests for events that are open to guests and are asked to pay the applicable guest fee. Please note that not all HACS events are open to guests.
