McMaster Marauders Orientation Week

On August 29th, during McMaster University’s Welcome Week, we witnessed an incredible act of community spirit and generosity. Each year, McMaster’s faculties unite in a long-standing tradition of fundraising for a chosen charity. In 2025, the MSU Maroons—a dedicated team committed to supporting McMaster undergraduates and the greater Hamilton community—selected Help A Child Smile as their charity of choice.

This university-wide initiative is about more than raising funds—it shines a spotlight on important causes, bringing awareness, compassion, and hope to families who need it most. For our organization, which provides joy and support to children with cancer and their families, the Maroons’ choice means the world.

We are truly humbled and grateful for the dedication, energy, and kindness shown by the MSU Maroons and the entire McMaster student community. Their commitment to giving back demonstrates the very best of leadership, teamwork, and compassion.
