2021 Family Picnic

The Board of Directors and volunteers from Help A Child Smile welcomed our families to the 2021 Family Picnic. A special thank you to the Gallant family for hosting our picnic at Colton’s Fun Farm. Our guests enjoyed a variety of fall activities in the barn and on the property, as well as a foam pit and slide and slide, a petting zoom, laser tag, horseback rides and a reptile show. Each family enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch on the farm.

Colton’s Fun Farm is holding their annual fall activities and will be donating a portion of their ticket sales to Help A Child Smile.

Here’s a link to their website where you can find out what they have to offer and the date and times.

NHL ALUMNI HOCKEY GAME 2020

Thousands of hockey fans of all ages enjoyed an NHL Alumni Hockey Game at the FirstOntario Centre on Sunday, February 16 in support of Help A Child Smile and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Amy Watson, the Vice-Chair of the Help A Child Smile Board of Directors and Nelson Mota, the Chair of the Help A Child Smile Board presented Elijah Verhoeven and his family with a trip to Give the Kids the World in Florida.

Fans had a chance to watch Toronto Maple Leaf greats Wendel Clark, Shayne Corson, Nik Antropov and Rick Vaive hit the ice with Montreal Canadien Mark Napier. The Law Enforcement All Stars couldn’t beat the NHL Alumni Team and lost 7-6, but the overall winners were Help A Child Smile and the Special Olympics and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Help A Child Smile raised over $3 thousand with our 50/50 draw and raised more awareness of childhood cancer.

Elijah Verhoeven and his family had a chance for a special VIP Meet and Greet with the Alumni Team and were joined by Nelson Mota, Amy Watson and Blair Kneabone, one of our dedicated Help A Child Smile Volunteers.
