Greetings from the Geiss Family, Otto, Anna, Jessica and Santino...
Santino was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma a few years ago and is now off treatment. As you could imagine, this was a difficult time for the family.
On January 1st, 2012 we arrived in Florida. Wow.... Amazing... Unbelievable... Awesome. These are just some of the words to describe our feelings and what the trip was like. For Santino, this was the first time on a airplane. What a way to start the New Year!
“We had a fantastic trip! Thanks for making it possible. We would have never imagined it to be as perfect as it was. It was like living in a fairytale for a week!
We are so grateful for all that Help A child smile did for us. No words can ever express how we feel.
Jordan kept saying: ‘This is the best trip ever, Mom! I can't believe we went there!’
Thanks for the many beautiful memories you have given our family.
Thanks from the bottom of our hearts!”
Pablo Goes to Florida
Pablo was diagnosed with AML and for the family, it seemed like their world had come to an end. There didn't appear to be any light at the end of the tunnel, but as he progressed with his treatment with favourable results, the families hope and faith was restored. Not only for Pablo, but for all the people around him that love him. The trip to Give Kids the World Village was deserved after such a long and difficult journey.
Justice, Ceryne, Brodie, Grandma Barb and mom (Melanie) had a great time at Give Kids the World Village in Florida. The family was unable to find the words to express their gratitude, saying it was the best vacation they had ever been on. "Unbelieveable" was how they described their time at the theme parks and within the Village itself.
